Youth Program

DBCC has identified 3 groups of children group. From the age group 0 to 6 years are called Blossom Group. From the age group of 7 to 12 years are called Sunflower Group and from the age group 13 to 17 years are called Sunshine Group. We started gathering in out at the Ajax Library since March of 2019. We had done few assessment and agreed with parents that teaching Bengali is one of the highest need for our children in our community.

Therefore, we officially started to take one class in each month from September of 2019. Due to Covid 19, we had to cancel our classes for few months. Later we started to organize our Bangla class virtually for once a month.

Our children have participated in the community tree planting, cancer society volunteering, Durham policing. We would be organizing our youth leadership program and youth focus group in the coming future.
