Mission Statement
Bangladeshi Canadians in Durham Region continue to participate in community volunteering in order to bridge the gap in cultures and leadership by promoting cultural events, youth development and self-employment and assessing the practical needs of Bangladeshi senior residents in Durham region, Ontario.
History
DBCC was founded on December 2016 and was registered as a non-profit organization in 2018. The founding members volunteered to form Executive committee, whose purpose was to promote Bangladeshi culture, spread language and create a vibrant Bangladeshi community in Durham region. In 2020, a constitution was built and membership was introduced to DBCC participants.

Our youth are the future. So to make sure the Bengali culture is passed down from generation to generation we educate them in our tongue.
Bangla classes are free for our members.
Community Events
DBCC encourages everyone for community volunteering to support causes that we all can. DBCC has a partnership with Durham police, Ajax library, and Cancer Society and had participated in a food drive, community tree planting, and cancer support volunteering. DBCC members can volunteer with their children for many causes. Through active volunteering, we can develop strong leadership, bridge the intergeneration gap, and contribute to the community.

DBCC Kids Spring Program 2022
This year spring is not an extended of winter. Birds are chirping and the outdoor is calling us. DBCC is excited to announce the Spring Bird Watch program.
All of our members between 5 to 17 years can join our “Spring 2021 BirdWatch Program” and can win a $25 DQ Gift certificate. Hurry up, the event ends on the 27th of June.
Senior Programs
DBCC INC. is assessing the practical needs of Bangladeshi senior residents in Durham region, Ontario. In order to do that we will be organizing physical and mental health seminar, yoga class, game for fun, movie for fun and have them mingle together. Age group 60 and over can participate.
Youth Programs
Our children have participated in the community tree planting, cancer society volunteering, Durham policing. We would be organizing our youth leadership program and youth focus group in the coming future.

Canadian Program/Culture
We show our pride for this amazing country by participating in many events and celebrations and in commemorating important moments and our lives in Canadian history. In addition, we also organize a few potluck events during Mother’s Day or Father’s Day.
Bangladeshi Heritage Program
We proudly celebrate our Bangladeshi culture every year. This includes International Language day, Pohela Boishakh (Bangla New Year), and Victory day.
